Zendaya Shocks in Barbiecore Pink Look and Matching Sky-High Platforms in New Valentino Campaign

Zendaya wore a pink Valentino ensemble complete with their coveted platforms for the Italian luxury brand’s new ad campaign.

Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli designed a new campaign, titled PINK PP, centered around the brand’s Barbiecore color. The designer brand described its version of pink as a different emotional and mental space, a collateral dimension to accessible reality.

For the rose-filled campaign, Zendaya was one of the two central stars, along with Sir Lewis Hamilton, shot down by Micheal Bailey Gates. The actress was dressed in monochrome outfits all in pink PP. Zendaya wore two different all-pink ensembles, the first featuring a sheer top and oversized pants with an ’80s-style blazer and pink gloves. The “Euphoria” star held a pink bag with silver studs and decorated her ears with silver and pink crystal drop earrings as a finishing touch.

The second look saw Zendaya wearing a pink high neck mini dress with pink PP gloves and tights. The pink was only highlighted with more pink accessories which included a small square clutch. How much pink is too much? The signature shade sent Valentino into the stratosphere, skyrocketing his notoriety and relevance in the fashion landscape. That being said, it looks like the shade won’t be out of circulation anytime soon.

Both extreme outfits required perfectly pink shoes. The stylist on set honored that sentiment with platform boots that elongated the already tall actress. The very high platform boots resemble the very popular Garavani heels also from Valentino, their thick soles and death-defying heel heights to match.
