The Giving Movement is one of the UAE’s biggest local fashion success stories, and as the athleisure brand continues to expand its empire of fabulous fits and eco-friendly fashion, it’s set to open a physical store at the Mall of the Emirates before the end of the year.

Until now, The Giving Movement has been e-commerce exclusively, so this is a major shift for the disruptive fashion brand. “We are delighted to announce that we will be opening our first flagship store at the Mall of Emirates later this year,” said founder Dominic Nowell-Barnes. “We have recognized that retail shopping is still a big part of the culture in the UAE, so we are excited to create a truly unique experience at our flagship store.”

Although we don’t yet know exactly what the flagship store will look like, visitors can expect to shop the latest collections for women, men and now even kids, with all colors of t-shirt, hoodie, sweatshirt t-shirt, jogging, jacket and more available. . Fabrics are 100% sustainable and everything is sourced locally from the United Arab Emirates, with affordable pieces starting at Dhs 199.

The Giving Movement isn’t just about creating eco-friendly sportswear, but it’s also about giving back, with AED 15 donated to charity partner Dubai Cares & Harmony House for every item sold. So when you buy from The Giving Movement, you’re also doing good. The money is used to provide food, shelter and education to those who need it most around the world. “To date, we have donated over $2,400,000,” says Nowell-Barnes. “Our goal is to reach $10,000,000 in donations by the end of 2023. Our philosophy is simple: small acts multiplied by many can transform the world.

Upcoming launch of new lines

You can also expect to shop The Giving Movement’s first line of shoes when the Mall of the Emirates opens, which goes live this week. As a world first, the slides are biosourced and made from sugar in partnership with I’m Green, the world’s first biosourced plastic.

And more new, this season will also see the launch of Fifty Made, the first ready-to-wear collection from The Giving Movement. Promising to be an enduring luxury brand, only 50 pieces of each style will be made and the first collection shown at Dubai Fashion Week in October.
