Imaginative outfits made from recycled materials will be showcased at Havant and South Downs College’s upcoming showcase, part of the Borough of Havant’s Big Green Week event.

Staff, students and the environmentally conscious public are invited to attend the free show at HSDC Havant on Thursday 29 September, 6-7.30pm.

Tickets must be booked in advance and can be found on the Havant Climate Alliance website.

Wicor Primary School in Portchester is hosting a food festival to encourage children…

HSDC Havant A-Level Textiles students and South Downs Campus Fashion Design and Apparel Construction Level 3 students have been hard at work on their designs and can’t wait to showcase their skills.

Sue James of Havant Climate Alliance, which organizes Havant Borough Big Green Week, said: ‘The idea is to get people thinking about their green footprint and to show everyone what we can do to save energy, protect our wildlife and natural spaces and reduce our waste.

“Our food, travel and shopping choices all make a difference, and that includes the clothes we buy.”

The fashion show is just one of many environmental events taking place throughout the week, including litter pick-ups, walks in the woods and a zero-waste coffee morning.
