PHD will be responsible for all offline and online media activity in Australia and New Zealand, effective immediately. The scope of work covers media strategy, planning and buying across the entire brand portfolio and includes planning and buying global campaigns based on the agency’s exceptional early results.
OMD Brisbane wins pitch from Abano Healthcare
Abano Healthcare Group’s Australia account has consolidated its Australian media agency account with OMD as its sole agency partner, following a competitive pitch process. Abano Healthcare Group is a dental support organization with Australian brands such as Maven Dental and 1300Smiles Dentists.
Mindshare wins Victorian Labor Party pitch
According to industry insiders, Mindshare won the media agency’s pitch for the Victoria branch of the Australian Labor Party (ALP). The agency was against OMD and Densu on the count.
Omnicom wins Coles pitch
Coles Group, a top 10 advertiser, creates its own specialist agency, Smith Street, with Omnicom, winner of its pitch.
The move follows what Coles described as a “robust” four-and-a-half-month RFP process for its marketing services. The supermarket group opened its list of agencies to present in March, for the first time in more than a decade.
Edge wins Hearing Australia pitch
Hearing Australia – the hearing services and research organization – has appointed Edge as their media agency partner following a tender.
Edge will be responsible for increasing the awareness and impact of the Hearing Australia brand to help even more people across the country benefit from better hearing.
Howatson+Company Wins TK Maxx Pitch
Howatson + Company has announced that it has been named the Referral Agency for TK Maxx in Australia, following a competitive pitch process. The appointment is effective immediately.
Howatson+Company will handle brand strategy, creative and production for TK Maxx, an off-price retailer that aims to deliver great value on ever-changing selections of brands, designers and more high quality fashion clothes.
