Olivia Wilde Hits the Streets of New York in a Stella McCartney Dress and Casadei Platforms After ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ Interview

Olivia Wilde was spotted in New York yesterday leaving ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’, the actress wearing a white Stella McCartney dress and towering Casadei boots. Keeping it cool and casual, Wilde’s dress featured thin spaghetti straps, a risque plunging neckline, and a flower-shaped cutout on Wilde’s midsection.

The director donned shaded black sunglasses and accessorized with a few black and gold long chain necklaces and bracelets in the same style that gave the actress a welcome glow. Wilde wore her light brown locks and parted in the middle with wavy curls.

Literally taking her outfit to the next level, Wilde wore black platforms fitted with chunky heels that barely peeked out from under the gauzy hem of her dress. Platform pumps feature an exaggerated sole and usually a high heel of 4 inches or more. The platform construction helps offset heel height, allowing for extra inches over a traditional pump, without any added discomfort.

When it comes to shoes, Wilde often gets glam on the red carpet. The “Booksmart” director regularly wears metallic and embellished heeled sandals and raised platforms for formal occasions, from top brands including Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Casadei and Jimmy Choo. Outside of work hours, the star is often more laid back, donning Adidas sneakers, Steve Madden slippers and Lucchese boots over the years.

Wilde’s new film “Don’t Worry Darling” starring boyfriend Harry Styles and Florence Pugh has garnered a lot of attention from fans of the director’s previous work and the general public. This film marks Wilde’s second directorial effort. The psychological thriller follows a 1950s housewife living with her husband in a “utopian experimental community” when the idealistic facade begins to crack. The film premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.
