Interactive marketing is visual or written content that consumers can interact with (obviously). It can be anything from a quiz to an installation.
With this type of marketing, you have no creative limits – the sky is the limit. It also doesn’t hurt that engaging on a deeper level with your consumers in our increasingly digital society can help you stand out from the sea of competition. It’s because you’re not another brand blending into their timeline – you’re right in front of them.

1. Amazon Alexa
These days Alexa is gone just a name; it’s a way of life. You’ve probably seen all the memes floating around – so much so that you may have forgotten the virtual assistant was Actually created to promote Amazon products.

Amazon’s Alexa is a fundamental example of interactive marketing as it is there to answer questions and provide advice on all customer product queries, which streamlines the buying process. Moreover, customers can also buy something with voice commands.
It is integrated into the daily life of consumers but still serves as a customer support and promotional tool for Amazon. This is what is called marketing master class!
2. Balenciaga 3D Fortnite billboard
As our society becomes increasingly technologically advanced, many believe that outdoor advertising (OOH) is taking a back seat to its digital counterparts. However, immersive marketing breathes new life into this space in creative and original ways. Take Balenciaga’s 3D Fortnite signpostsfor example.
It’s another way marketers can transition to give their audience a more immersive experience.
Billboard features Fortnite Doggo character wearing from head to paws Balenciaga. Placed in New York, London, Tokyo and Seoul, Doggo dominates the sidewalk and appears to move through its designated advertising space.
This campaign is a fusion of interactive marketing and a strong brand partnership with Fortnite.
Balenciaga, a Spanish fashion brand, is hugely popular on its own, but using these marketing tactics has further maximized its reach and relevance.
The billboards raised awareness of a broader collaborative campaign between Balenciaga and Fortnitein which the brand released four high fashion skins for the game.
3. M&M Flavor Rooms
If you’re a chocolate lover, chances are you’ve eaten your fair share of M&M’s – and maybe you want to venture outside to try. New the flavours. If so, M&M Flavor Rooms would be your dream.
These themed installations (flavor rooms) in New York City were created to engage consumers in choosing the next M&M flavor.
Each room was themed according to a different flavor, with unique “decor and scents”, according to Hubspot. To make the experience even more enjoyable, the brand also included snack and drink bars where visitors could enjoy M&M-themed treats.
This interactive marketing example is quite literal, as attendees could literally immerse themselves in the various facilities. It was a fun experience that those present would love surely do not forget.
