First look at Ralph Lauren’s US Open 2022 uniforms

Polo Ralph Lauren is stepping up its game for the US Open 2022.

The brand unveiled its official on-field uniforms, fan-specific commemorative apparel and accessories, and marketing campaign for the upcoming tournament, which is scheduled for August 29-September 11 in Flushing, NY. The lines feature bright colors, elevated graphics and performance details.

This marks Ralph Lauren’s 17th year as the Official Tennis Tournament Supplier and the company outfits over 250 field officials and 400 ball team members. The ball team staff will sport a burst print in navy blue with accents of orange and green.

Their polo shirts will once again be made from yarn created from recycled plastic bottles. Ralph Lauren and Wilson, who supply the balls, collect boxes of plastic tennis balls during the tournament which are used for future fabric production.

In 2021, over 540 pounds of bullet boxes were collected, which were then turned into yarn.

The prom team will wear polo shirts made from recycled plastic bottles.

This year, Ralph Lauren will also become the Official Sunglasses Sponsor of the US Open and will offer two styles featuring the Pony player and US Open logos in a shiny Havana colourway.

Ralph Lauren will offer customers the ability to personalize polo shirts, water bottles and tote bags through its Create-Your-Own program which will be available at the tournament and on ralphlauren.com.

He will host a live shopping event on TikTok to celebrate the tournament, showcasing an exclusive item from this year’s collection.

The campaign was shot at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and features five members of the ball team alongside a group of models wearing pieces from the US Open line as well as the Polo Ralph men’s and women’s collections. Lauren spring, summer and fall 2022.

The company will unveil an updated luxury hospitality suite at the event featuring products from the Ralph Lauren Home Collection and inspired by a classic Hamptons home. A custom cocktail called “Courtside Spritz” was also created. It will include Gray Goose vodka, champagne and grapefruit liqueur with a citrus twist and will be available throughout the tournament at the Polo Bar in New York.

For those unable to make it to Flushing, Ralph Lauren’s Madison Avenue store will show live tennis matches in its windows, and Prince Street and Manhasset stores will also offer tennis-related events.

The US Open fan collection will be sold at select Polo Ralph Lauren stores and onsite at the tournament as well as online at ralphlauren.com throughout the event.
