Epic Games recently announced a partnership with luxury fashion brand Balenciaga to bring the latest merchandise collection online and IRL. While the capsule has grabbed headlines with its fashion and gaming collaboration, fans should prepare their wallets for steep prices if they’re looking to pick up these limited-release items.
The Fortnite The limited x Balenciaga capsule features many in-game looks that fans can now shop and wear as everyday wear. Fans have the option to match skins they’ve purchased in-game with a physical version like the white Balenciaga hoodie as seen on Shady Doggo. Although it looks quite attractive, fans should be prepared to shell out US$725 for the part. Merchandise collection prices continue to be trending, because they don’t stop there.
Products in the lower price range of the collection will still cost buyers a few hundred dollars. Fans can purchase a Fortnite and Balenciaga co-branded hat for $395 USD and for those looking for high-end products, they can spend $1290 USD on a Fortnite brand denim jacket. Luckily for fans, digital merch is much cheaper than physical items. Between September 21 and September 28, fans will be able to unlock two free in-game collaboration-based sprays as long as they complete Shady Doggo’s challenges. The Fortnite x Balenciaga themed skins for Unchained Ramierez, Shady Doggo, Fashion Banshee and Game Knight will be available for purchase in the Item Shop.
