New York City is well aware of Bella Hadid’s affinity for reviving decades-old fashion trends. But now she’s bringing that style prowess to Italy.
Today, the model was spotted wearing a 90s-inspired outfit during Milan Fashion Week. The ensemble consisted of a white cropped tank top, bootcut pants with patches of various olive green tones and a raw hemline, a brown striped cross-body sweater, and black boots. She accessorized with a frayed military green shoulder bag from Chanel, which featured designs like the fashion house’s logo and peace signs all over the strap, along with matching green sunglasses, earrings gold and a wide black headband.
Hadid is often seen in outfits that pay homage to past sartorial eras.
Recently, she appeared to honor British mod style by appearing in an outfit that could easily have been pulled from a 1960s catalog. In late August, the model stepped out wearing a gray and black striped Chanel mini dress with a white border. She styled the look with sleek black shades, white rib-knit leggings and baby blue ballerina shoes with white bows.
And in July, Hadid went for a retro look in a yellow and brown sleeveless sweater, which she paired with faded straight jeans, a black mini messenger bag, black boots and rectangular sunglasses.
Hadid opened up about keeping her signature street looks in a previous interview with WSJ. Magazine.
“I haven’t had a stylist for a long time, maybe two years now,” she said. “Last year it was really important for me to learn that even if people talk about my style or if they like it or if they don’t like it, it doesn’t matter , because that’s my style.”
